Ms Ndapwilapo Selma Shimutwikeni is a non-executive board member of Namib Desert Diamonds (NAMDIA) and previously on the board of the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR). She also co-drafted Namibia's Cybercrime Bill in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union and European Commission under the 'Harmonisation of ICT Policies in Sub-Saharan Africa' initiative. Her professional background spans roles with Namdeb Diamond Corporation (a De Beers-Namibia joint venture) and Howells Solicitors (UK).
Selma holds two Master of Laws (LLM) degrees—in International Trade Law (University of Leeds) and Mineral Law and Policy (University of Dundee)—and a BSc in Business Management and Computer Information Systems (La Roche University, USA). She is an alumna of board training programs with TheBoardroom Africa and the Institute of Directors UK.
