Mr Nicolas Limbo has over 28 years experience in the education and TVET sectors, beginning his career as a Secondary School Teacher in southern Namibia in January 1997, then serving in a senior role in Education, Training and Development in the then Ministry of Safety and Security (2001-2003). He spent the past 21 years working in in TVET, Training, Institutional Strengthening Systems Program Design, and Development. He has held mid-level to senior roles, as a Vocational Education Officer in the former Ministry of Higher Education, Training and Employment Creation (2003-2004), seconded from the Ministry to serve as a TVET Curriculum Development Coordinator at the Project Management Unit for the establishment of the Namibia Training Authority (PMU-NTA) (2004-2008); Curriculum and Training Program Development Lead at the International Training and Education Centre for Health (I-TECH) (2008-2009); Health Systems Strengthening Program Coordinator at Intra-Health International (2009-2012); Senior Manager: Operations, Training and Curriculum Development at the Namibia Community Skills Development Foundation (COSDEF) (2012-2025). He currently serves as the Skills Development Specialist at the Namibia Green Hydrogen Programme, tasked with developing and operationalizing a national Skills Development Strategy and Plan (SDSP) for the sector, as well as supporting local content and Small and Medium Enterprises’ participation in the green economy. With undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in Education and Business Administration, Mr Limbo has extensive experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of quality assured training, capacity development, and improvement programs for varied occupational areas and targets, human capital development, organizational development, strategic planning and organizational performance improvement. He was part of a Consultancy team that developed the framework and principles for the registration of Competence-Based (CBET), unit standards and qualifications for the Namibian TVET system on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) (2005-2006).
