Dr Deewakarsingh Authelsingh has been the Director of the Special Education Needs Authority (SENA), a former Senior Lecturer at MIE as well as a teacher at the MGI in Mauritius and a specialist in inclusive education. He has led major reforms to improve the quality of SEN schools, including the development of a national Quality Assurance Framework. As a researcher, he has published internationally on inclusive education policies and practices, notably in a comparative study between Mauritius and Ontario, Canada. Recognized as a Fellow of the International Forums of Inclusion Practitioners (IFIP), Dr Authelsingh is committed to advancing equitable and accessible learning opportunities for all learners.
